This is a really great question!
Disney's Direct to Room Service offers online check-in that you can complete through the
My Disney Experience app or through the
My Plans page on the
Walt Disney World website. Once your Disney Resort hotel is booked and the confirmation number is linked to your account, the option to complete the online check-in goes live. This means you can absolutely check in now!
Completing the online check-in early doesn't necessarily change your chances of getting your room requests met. But waiting too long definitely could! Room assignments are typically made closer to your arrival date, so having that online check-in completed and an early check-in preference noted to your account before you arrive is important. This way, Cast Members can consider your request as they start putting together room assignments. The easiest way to check in is through the My Disney Experience app. There will be a Start Check In Now option located below your hotel reservation details. Follow the prompts to get checked in in moments. And don't forget to
call the Tickets and Hotel Reservations line to make that early check-in request!
Before you arrive, be sure to
check out all the perks that come with being a Guest of a Disney Resort hotel! You'll have access to
extra time in the theme parks, complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World, and you'll be able to
book Lightning Lanes seven days out for the length of your stay (up to ten days). This can make securing those must-try attractions so much easier!
