Hi there Deborah, and welcome to planDisney!
It's great to connect with fellow creatively-minded folks here, who are just as enthused about taking part in the
artistic activities found at the Disney Resort Hotels! From the sounds of it, you must be interested in snagging a sought-after spot in either the
Colors of Coronado Painting Experience or the
Spanish Mosaic Art taking place in the bright, lofty spaces stop the
Gran Destino Tower. It's easy to see how one can be inspired in these locations like
Dahlia Lounge with its surrealist-influenced surroundings inspired by
Salvador Dali and Destino, or the soaring, color-changing ceilings and olive trees in
Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood.
- This appears to have been updated quite recently, so it makes sense that you may not have seen any availability online as these dates didn't show up for me either as of a few days ago. I was just at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort myself and the Cast Members there informed me that sometimes the available booking slots may not always show up online until schedules have been worked out, and that it's highly recommended to check back often for updates or cancellations (especially a day ahead as there is a 1-Day Cancellation policy that folks may want to avoid).
My
planDisney pal Elaine had the opportunity to make artwork of her own and if you'd like to
reach out to her directly for any personal insight into her experience, I highly recommend it! If you'll be sticking around longer in January, you might want to check out the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts to not only view some incredible pieces, but also watch artists at work and gain some inspiration for your own creations!
Wishing you all the best on your quest to attend the art classes you seek!
