    thank you for answering my last question. I received our flight info the next day. just one more question? we will be in nassau for 1 day. what is there to do that is free? we are can not afford to do any of the excursions. 43 days till we set sail. thank

    I'm glad you didn't have to wait too much longer for your flight information because I'm sure you were ready to finalize your departure plans! 
    I have a few ideas for your day in Nassau!  First, if you aren't interested in venturing ashore, the ship can be your destination!  The Disney Dream offers so much that it might be nice to stay onboard so you can enjoy the pool deck including the Aqua Duck, a first-run movie like Monsters University or Planes, play mini-golf, enjoy a cruise staff activity, or have the kids visit the youth spaces so you can relax at the Quiet Cove Pool!  The options are endless!
    If you go ashore, there is shopping within walking distance on Bay Street if you would like to pick up some souvenirs.  Maps are available in the tourist center which you will pass through before heading into town.  You can check out the Government House, Christ Church, the library and the Queen Victoria Statue on a walking tour.  If you want to go to the beach, Cabbage Beach (about $4.00 per person via taxi) is your best option with public restrooms close by.  Bring cash with you if you want to rent chairs, umbrellas or visit the food vendors. Taxis will be waiting to whisk you away once you leave the pier area, but make sure you discuss the rates before hopping in.
