Hi again Whitney,

That's a tough question. Personally, I've been successful in switching to a previously fully booked resort about 50% of the time I've tried it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. My educated guess is that if you're traveling during President's Week, then you're probably out of luck, but if not, then you should keep your fingers crossed and check back daily.

That being said, I really wouldn't stress too much about your Kidani situation. It really is a lovely place. If you have small kids, they're in for a treat with the water play area at the pool.

If for some reason you still want to try elsewhere, you may want to consider looking for availability at the Beach Club and Boardwalk hotels as well. While these are not right next to the Magic Kingdom, there are in walking distance to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. My family now prefers staying in this area because there are so many wonderful dining opportunities.

I'm sorry I don't have a more satisfying answer for you. The best I can say is keep trying.
