Terrific panel! We want to take 1 day and visit the different resort hotels. What resorts are on the monorail line. How do we ask for a tour of the different hotels. What are the fastest ways to get from the pop century to the differnet hotels. 2 dd's idea

I love exploring the Disney resort hotels and have spent several days bopping from hotel to hotel, checking out the gorgeous themeing.

I do not know of any official guided hotel tours. You should just go to whichever hotel you're interested in. You can ask at the front desk for a map of the resort and then walk around yourself. The points of interest that I always like to see are the lobby area, shops, pools, and outdoor themed areas (for example the animal observation stations at the Animal Kingdom Lodge or the geyser at the Wilderness Lodge).

The hotels along the monorail route are a good place to start a resort tour. These are the Contemporary, Polynesian, and the Grand Floridian. From the Contemporary, you can take a water shuttle to the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. Another easy place to tour several resorts is in the Epcot resorts area (just exit Epcot from the International Gateway located between the England and France pavilions). Here you will find the Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach Clubs, and the Swan and Dolphin. You can also walk between Port Orleans French Quarter and PO Riverside, or between the three All Star Resorts.

Beyond that, there is no direct transportation between the resorts. If you have a car, that would be by far the fastest way to get from resort to resort. Otherwise, you'll need to use one of the theme parks or Downtown Disney as a hub. For example, if you were at the Pop Century and wanted to tour the Caribbean Beach Resort, you could take a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios and then transfer from there to CBR.

    Happy touring!
