I have a terrible phobia of snakes! I read somewhere that sometimes CM's walk around with snakes in the AK. Is this true?!?!? If so, I'm almost contemplating not visiting AK. Also, where else in the AK (and other parks) may I see snakes?

There are some animal handlers in the Animal Kingdom that do have snake displays. They are well contained, no one will jump out at you with a snake or anything like. They are there with trained guides who are there for educational purposes to discuss the animals' habit, feeding, etc. Most often I have seen these guides in the path headed into Camp Mickey Minnie, along the Panagni Forest Trail, and in Conservation Station.

In the interest of keeping you calm, I'll try to list other areas in the parks that have real, simulated or robotic snakes.

    - Indiana Jones attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
    - Jungle Cruise in the Magic Kingdom
    - Rubber snakes often for sale at Botswana Bob's in Adventureland at the MK
    - Fantasmic show at DHS, giant snake puppet (highly stylized)
    - Great Movie ride at DHS, scene from Indiana Jones with snakes
    - Rainforest Cafe at the Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney
    - Small World in the MK, VERY friendly snake charmer in one scene
    - Honey I Shrunk the Audience at Epcot

I think that's it. But if you want to be super-double-plus sure, you should speak with the cast member attendant at the front of each attraction to discuss your concerns.
