    What is the temperature of the Shark Reef water at Typhoon Lagoon? I've read it is quite cold. Also can you use your own mask and snorkel there?

    Hi Jill,

    Typhoon Lagoon is a great way to spend your day! My family loves Crush 'n' Gusher water roller coaster!!

    Shark Reef is cold or at least it feels that way once you are in there. It is 78 degrees which is not all that bad. I recommend you go slow across the reef and you can not kick your feet. The lovely cast member reminded me of this numerous times as I made my way across the reef.

    As for your own gear, you can bring it, and if it is not able to be used, they will hand you theirs.
