Can you tell me why Fantasmic is no longer a nightly event? It seems to be extremely popular with guests, and was something my family most looked forward to on our visits to the Studio. We're saddened that we won't be able to see it on our trip this year,

    Hi Cindy,

Unfortunately we do not have any inside information on why the changes were made to the Fantasmic schedule. The show is my oldest son's absolute favorite and it has been more of a challenge to work it into our plans now that it appears on select nights, so I understand completely.

My guess would be that it was difficult for Disney to keep up with the volume of characters, Cast Members and costs that went in to each show. The performance requires a very large number of hands involved to perform each show and move the large crowds through in a safe and timely fashion. I would think it may have been an issue of trying to maintain the best possible show efficiently. I know during the peak seasons, Disney was increasing the number of shows performed and there may still be a day when it returns nightly. Hope you are able to find a way to work it into your schedule.
