Hello, can you tell me if you have to pay extra money to attend the Epcot food and wine festival starting on August 29th?

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question, Lisa! The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which starts on August 29, is the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year at Walt Disney World Resort. This annual event is going into its 24th year, and it will run for 87 days, making it the longest Food & Wine Festival yet!

Your Epcot Theme Park Ticket is all you'll need to gain admission to the festival. There will be more than 30 Global Marketplace Food Booths in 2019 featuring food, wine, and beer. The booths offer appetizer-sized portions and provide the perfect opportunity to try authentic cuisine from around the world. Some of the popular items last year were Morocco's Hummus Fries and the Earth Eats' IMPOSSIBLE Burger Slider. Many vendors accept the Disney Dining Plan and will note on their menus which items are snack credit eligible. For Guests not on the Dining Plan, I recommend buying a Disney wristlet gift card for quick and easy payment at all the Global Marketplaces.

Here are a few Moms Panel tips: For the shortest lines, plan to arrive by 11:00 AM, when the festival opens. Then, pick up your complimentary Marketplace Discovery Passport when you enter the Park and use it to identify the items you want to try. Each marketplace has its own unique Passport sticker- this is a great way to remember what you ate! Lastly, consider staying until early evening to enjoy an Eat to the Beat Concert. This year, the Plain White T's kick things off on August 29.

Have a fantastic vacation this summer, Lisa!
