Hi Jessica! Welcome back to planDisney!
To me, April is a practically perfect time of yEAR to visit
Walt Disney World Resort! As a child, my family always made the trek to The Most Magical Place on Earth in the spring, and right now we're also planning to visit the Resort again in April. Who knows, maybe we'll see you there! While the official dates of the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival have not yet been announced, I'm really hoping that we'll both be able to experience the spectacular flowers and topiaries that adorn
EPCOT in the spring. Keep your eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest and greatest information about this fantastic festival!
With more than 40 square miles of Resort to explore I always tell Guests to plan on getting lots of exercise in while they're visiting! Many Guests benefit from the ability to
rent and use a scooter, also known as an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV), while they're visiting the Parks, even if they don't usually need one at home. You will find that ECVs are available for rent at the Theme Parks, Water Parks and
Disney Springs on a day-to-day basis. Rental is on a first-come, first-served basis and Guests are able to pay once for use of the ECV all day. Scooters are not able to be removed from the Park they were rented in, so if you plan to "hop" from one Park to another throughout the day you'll be able to show your receipt and pick up another scooter at the second Park at no extra charge.
If you think you may need a scooter outside of the Parks I would suggest looking into a rental with Disney's Featured Provider, ScooterBug. ScooterBug works with Cast Members at your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel to ensure a smooth drop-off and pick-up of the ECV, even if you aren't present at the time.
No matter what, I'm sure you and your family are going to have a memorable and magical time at Walt Disney World Resort!
