How can I tell if magic band battery is ok? I know they aren't complimentary anymore and don't want to buy one but we have old ones from a trip 3 years ago. Heard you are switching to phones but I'd prefer MB to using my phone all the time.

Welcome back to planDisney, Nicole! I’m so happy to see that you have a Holiday visit in the works. Christmastime at the Walt Disney World Resort is just beautiful!

You can always check on your MagicBand battery at the front desk of your Disney Resort hotel, at Will Call or a Guest Relations location at any of the theme parks. I know that it has been said that the batteries only last about two years, but I have some bands that my family has used for years! They always end up in my travel bag and my girls end up wearing them over and over again.

Nicole, I suggest bringing your bands with you. If you have your theme park tickets sent to your email, you can always print out a copy. This way you don’t have to have your mobile phone scanned at the park entrances. You can also go to Will Call to request an admission card. Just give the Cast Member all of your ticket information and they will be happy to help you!

When you purchase your theme park tickets, link them to your My Disney Experience account. This way you can start making your Disney Park Pass Reservations for each person in your travel party. You can always check the availability calendar to make sure your desired dates are open, for the park you would like to visit. Then you will be ready to go!

The Holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort are always a sight to see. From the beautifully themed Christmas trees at the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll, to each of the four parks dressed up to spread Holiday cheer. You’re in for a real treat! Each year the events and activities vary, so keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog in the coming months. The blog is a great place to keep track of all the seasonal happenings at the resort.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any additional questions, come back to see us. It’s our pleasure to help you with all the details of your next magical vacation!
