Hi Pat!
As a fellow Buckeye and Disney Vacation Club Member, I'm happy to welcome you to planDisney! I know it probably seems far away, but you're going to be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort before you know it! With just a few months to go, now is the perfect time to finalize those last-minute planning details for your vacation. First, along with purchasing theme park admission, you'll want to be sure and make your theme park reservations using the
Disney Park Pass system. You'll need to make a reservation for each day you plan to visit the parks and availability has been going quickly, so I recommend doing this as soon as possible. I also suggest making a few advance dining reservations during your visit, and as it just so happens, your dining reservation window is just about to open. You can begin making reservations 60 days in advance, and if you're staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you'll be able to make reservations for your entire length of stay at the 60-day mark (up to 10 days). With theme park and dining reservations in hand, you'll be ready to hit the ground running when you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort!
If you ask me, nothing adds a sprinkle of pixie dust to a Disney vacation quite like Disney Vacation Club Member Benefits. With exciting events, Member-exclusive spaces, and
so many discounts, there's Membership magic everywhere you turn. While you can check out the full list of available discounts in the
Member Benefits section of the Disney Vacation Club website (there are way too many to list here), let me share a few of my favorite ways to save when I visit Walt Disney World. At the top of my list are DVC dining discounts –– most Walt Disney World Table-Service restaurants offer a 10% discount to Members, so you can take advantage of this perk each time you sit down to dine. You'll also enjoy merchandise discounts at many retail locations, including
World of Disney at Disney Springs and T
he Emporium at Magic Kingdom Park, so if you're planning to grab a special souvenir from
The World's Most Magical Celebration, be sure to let the cashier know that you're a DVC Member. My family also loves planning at least one day during our visits to skip the parks and relax at our Resort, which is a great time to take advantage of discounted activities for DVC Members. From discounted rounds of golf, to poolside cabana and surrey bike rentals, there's no shortage of discounted fun for everyone to enjoy.
To take advantage of these discounts, as well as other perks available to DVC Members during your visit, you'll need to download your new Disney Vacation Club Digital Membership card –– so I definitely recommend doing this before you arrive. All you need to do is create a new Disney MagicMobile pass in the My Disney Experience mobile app, which will be saved to the digital wallet of your mobile device. I recently shared the
step-by-step process of downloading your card with another Guest, Theresa, so be sure to give that a look if need more details!
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Pat. I hope your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort is filled with super savings and tons of Membership Magic!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
