Can you tell me how difficult or easy it is for a guest using a ECV - scooter when getting on and off the buses. I know there are lifts but is it difficult to manuver? Thank you!

    Anne,

While I am not an ECV user, I can tell you that I have seen my share of them while on trips to Walt Disney World.

The simple answer is that these bus drivers are PROS!

They do a great job of quickly, efficiently, and politely getting ECVs and their passengers on board the buses. They clear away room, lower the bus and the ramp, get you on board and secured, and get the bus back on it's way very quickly.

The buses were definitely designed to handle this well too. I think you will find them fairly easy to maneuver through.

One negative. Obviously they can't have hundreds of ECV "slots" on each bus. So sometimes you will have to wait for the next bus if the ECV slot (or slots) are already occupied. Disney seems very sensitive to this, and sends extra buses whenever needed. But if you have to wait, it certainly isn't "magical".

All I can say is that I think Disney does an AMAZING job with this very challenging transportation issue, and I think you will appreciate their level of training, professionalism, and courtesy when you are here.

    Have a magical vacation!
