Hi, Amy! Thanks for bringing another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
My daughter had been begging us to let her have her Caricature made at
Walt Disney World Resort for the past year or so, and we finally caved in and made one a part of her birthday trip in June. It turned out to be so fantastic! The artist who completed her Caricature (as a mermaid princess riding a rainbow unicorn, of course) was stationed at
Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The whole process took less than 10 minutes, and we ended up with a fun piece of art that we’ll treasure forever.
The photo I took of the pricing board in June listed a Profile (per person) at $18.95 while a Front View per person was $37.90. The Caricature Body was an additional $5, and the frame was $14.95. Please keep in mind that prices may change at any time, and gratuity for the artist is not included in the price.
In addition to the artist at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, I know there are stations at
Magic Kingdom Park in Liberty Square and on Main Street, U.S.A., near the Island Mercantile at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and at the France Pavilion at
Epcot. You’ll also find artists at various resorts such as
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. My Disney Parks Moms Panel friend
Eean said she thought she remembered seeing one at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, too.
I hope you’re able to take advantage of this opportunity during your next Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Amy! Please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you as you plan your trip.
Amy
