hi can you tell me if Broadwalk is suitable for children please?

Hello Natalie!  It sounds like you are planning a fun trip to Walt Disney World this summer!

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is an INN-credible resort for families with children for many reasons, but first and foremost, let's talk about the most important one- location!   Epcot's International Gateway is only a five-minute walk from the hotel, which is so convenient.  The walk to Disney's Hollywood Studios is a little farther, probably 15-20 minutes, but you also have the option of cruising along Crescent Lake on The Friendship Launch Boats which depart every 20 minutes or so.  Also within walking distance is Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf!

During my stay last year with my 10-year-old son, we were delighted by the evening entertainment as we enjoyed our ice cream from the nearby Ample Hills Creamery (Ooey Gooey Butter Cake is my favorite flavor). The Boardwalk Buskers are a variety of family-friendly entertainers who perform magic, juggling, and comedy routines nightly on The BoardWalk. Renting a 2- or 4- person Surrey Bike would be another activity sure to get a thumbs up!

I find the whimsical theming of the lobby and pool areas to be ideally suited to children. Made to look like an old Atlantic City amusement park, The Luna Park Pool features a water slide that looks like a wooden roller coaster complete with a giant clown at the end (which is sure to get a reaction out of the kids)!

Have fun planning your trip, and be sure to stop by the Moms Panel again if you have any further questions!
