My teenage daughter is going to WDW in Jan with her school. She and her friends are on a limited budget. Can they get free glasses of ice water at any of the table service restaurants? thanks in advance!

Hi Candis! I remember visiting Disney World with a school group when I was a teenager; your daughter is going to have so much fun at Disney with her friends! There's no charge for a glass of ice water at Disney's restaurants. If your daughter is dining at a table-service restaurant, she can order a free ice water, or she can request one by walking up to any counter-service restaurant. Water fountains are also available in the parks, and your daughter could bring a refillable water bottle with her if she wants.  I will warn you that the tap water at Disney World, especially in the Magic Kingdom area, has a very distinctive taste that some people (including me!) don't like. Some guests choose to bring with them individual packets of sweetened powdered drink mixes or water bottles with built-in filters to counteract the taste.

Disney does allow guests to bring their own bottled water into the parks, so that's another option for those on a budget. I can buy a case of water at home for the cost of one bottle in the parks, so my family often brings bottled water with us to Disney.

Finally, make sure your daughter knows about Club Cool in Epcot. This spot in Innoventions has unlimited free samples of Coca Cola products from around the world. The different drinks are fun to try and can help quench your thirst for free, although a few of them taste worse than the tap water!

Hope this helps! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
