Hi team, We are travelling to LA at New Year, is Disneyland open on 31/12/25 and 1/1/26? Can we purchase tickets which will allow us entry on both days? Thanks for your help in planning our trip.

Hi Ryan! Welcome to planDisney! Ringing in the New Year at the Disneyland Resort is an experience like no other. Having celebrated there myself on a couple of occasions, I can honestly say it’s one of the most magical and unforgettable ways to welcome the year ahead!

The Disneyland Resort is indeed open on both December 31 and January 1. If you’re hoping to visit on both days, I recommend purchasing a two-day Park Hopper ticket, which will allow you to explore both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. This option gives you the flexibility to enjoy everything both parks have to offer as you count down to midnight, and continue the celebration into the next day. Tickets and park reservations typically become available 180 days in advance, so for December 31 and January 1, plan to visit the Disneyland website starting July 4.

New Year’s Eve is an electric time to be in the parks. In years past, both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure have hosted lively dance parties in multiple locations, each with its own DJ and the occasional appearance from some Disney pals. And of course, no celebration would be complete without fireworks! I’ll never forget standing with my wife in the hub, surrounded by fellow Disney fans, as the midnight fireworks lit up the sky. It’s a core memory if there ever was one.

Beyond the New Year festivities, these dates are particularly special because many of the holiday offerings are still available. For instance, Sleeping Beauty Castle glows with sparkling icicles during the magical Wintertime Enchantment moments. Over in Fantasyland, “it’s a small world” holiday transforms the iconic façade into a twinkling, technicolor wonderland, where children from around the world share their seasonal traditions. It’s always one of my favorite sights of the season!

Ryan, I hope this helps build your excitement for celebrating the New Year at the Disneyland Resort. If you have any more questions, please feel free to visit us again here at planDisney.

    Happy (early) New Year!
