We are taveling on the western carribbean cruise in October and I know it says for kids under 16 they only need a copy of the birth certificate, I just want to clarify that they do not require a passport as I was beginning the on-line check in and it asked

Welcome aboard, Kimber! Only a couple months now until you set sail! Your whole family must be counting the days! My family sailed to the Western Caribbean earlier this year on the Disney Magic and had some amazing adventures at each of those ports. You're in for quite a bit of fun!

You are correct that children under 16 can travel on Disney Cruise Line to the Bahamas and Caribbean with a copy of their birth certificate if they do not have a passport. As you complete the online check-in process, simply leave the passport box blank for your children, as you will show their birth certificates when you check in at the port terminal.

Let me know if you have other questions as you continue to plan your sailing with Captain Mickey this fall, Kimber! I'm happy to help!
