Eric from NY Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

When I tap “View Experiences” on the Lightning Lane Premier Pass, I noticed that some of the attractions have a star in the corner. What does that star mean?

    Welcome to planDisney, Eric!

It sounds like your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the riverbend. Before you know it, you'll be leaving today and entering the world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy, so in the spirit of Lightning Lanes, we won't wait any longer. Let's get right to your question!

If you're hoping to maximize the magic of your vacation by minimizing waits, Eric, then purchasing Lightning Lane Premier Pass is a practically perfect idea! With it, you'll be able to bypass the standby queues of each Lightning Lane attraction in the theme park of purchase at your leisure. The lack of specific return windows is truly a game changer!
    • If you haven't yet purchased Premier Pass and are viewing available experiences by theme park on the Walt Disney World website or in the My Disney Experience app, you'll see asterisks indicating that all Lightning Lane experiences are subject to availability and can change without prior notice. If you're specifically viewing experiences in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you'll also see a notification that It's Tough to be a Bug! will close permanently on March 17.
    • If you've already purchased Lightning Lane Premier Pass for your upcoming visit and are seeing certain attractions emphasized with stars in your My Disney Experience app, it's most likely because you previously prioritized those when setting up Disney Genie Service for your visit. These stars won't impact the use of your Premier Pass. They are simply there to highlight your must-do attractions and experiences. My pal Jenn actually loves using these helpful stars to quickly identify her top three selections when purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
You ain't never had a friend like Disney Genie, Eric. Although not a requirement to use the My Disney Experience app during your vacation, it's a great complimentary tool that can help plan an itinerary specific to your individual priorities and interests. Not looking for recommendations? The 'My Day' feature is such a convenient way to help keep track of your plans for each day so that you don't miss a moment of the magic!

I hope this clears things up, Eric! If you're in need of additional assistance using your Premier Pass or if I misunderstood what you are seeing, don't hesitate to reach back out to me. I'm more than happy to help!

    Thinking Happy Thoughts,
