how do i talk to a cast member about DAS

    Hey there, Anastasia!

I'm so happy to welcome you to the most magical panel on Earth…planDisney! How exciting that you're planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort. You must be counting down the days as you get ready to create magical memories that your family will cherish for years to come.

One of the reasons my family loves visiting Disney is because they put so much thought into making the experience enjoyable for everyone. Disney offers a variety of services and accommodations to help Guests with disabilities navigate the parks comfortably and make the most of their vacation. I've always been impressed by how much care goes into helping every Guest feel welcome, included, and able to enjoy the magic alongside their family and friends. It's just one of the many reasons we find ourselves returning again and again.

One helpful option is Disability Access Service (DAS), which is available for Guests whose developmental disability makes it difficult to wait in a traditional standby line. If you think this might apply to you or someone in your travel party, Disney offers the opportunity to speak with a Cast Member through a live video chat before your visit to discuss your needs and determine what accommodations may be available. These conversations can take place up to 60 days before your arrival, and the Guest requesting the accommodation will need to be present for the call.

While you're planning, I also recommend spending some time exploring Disney's Accessibility Planning Guide. It provides a great overview of the many services, resources, and accommodations available throughout Walt Disney World, helping you find the options that will work best for your family's visit.

Anastasia, I hope this information helps as you put the finishing touches on your vacation plans. If any other questions pop up along the way, please don't hesitate to stop by and visit us again at planDisney.
