Hi, Sandy!  I LOVE birthdays at Walt Disney World!

The best place to find out what's going on and where you can do it is through the Walt Disney World website itself.  Head to the official webpage Walt Disney World, and browse the links across the top.  You'll find places to eat, special events, theme park calendars, and even a link to get a birthday cake!

There is so much to do and so many things to see, so you may want to think about your son's favorite things and build his birthday around those.  If he's a pirate fan, you can get him a complete pirate makeover at the Pirate's League in the Magic Kingdom.  This can get a little busy, so you do want to make a reservation ahead of time by calling 407-939-2739.  It's about $30 per person for the makeover.

You might also enjoy taking the family on a short cruise - as in a pirate cruise!  The Pirates and Pals fireworks voyage starts off with a snack buffet at the Contemporary resort, followed by a cruise out to the perfect spot to watch the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom.  You'll get to meet some of your favorite pirates, and maybe a special friend from Neverland during this evening of fun, food, singing, and pirate tales!

You should let them know when you book your resort and dining reservations that you are celebrating! You never know what pixie dust may be sprinkled to help make your son's day extra special.  With a birthday button (available at Guest Services at the parks or often at the resort front desks), your son is likely to get lots of birthday wishes, and many of the restaurants like to help make your celebration a little "sweeter".

    Have a great time celebrating!
