I am taking my 6 yr old son on a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas, we are very excited! It's 1 month away, so all the cabanas are long taken.. I will keep checking back to get one, but if not, can I bring our small portable beach cabana? can fit in suitcase..

    Ahoy Ellen!
It won't be long now before you are waving bon voyage to Port Canaveral as you head out on your Caribbean adventure!  I know you and your little sailor will have the most magical time on the high seas!
The cabanas on Castaway Cay are quite popular so they are usually reserved early.  I'm glad that you are continuing to check because I have known Guests to luck out just days before sailing.  I checked with Disney Cruise Line about your question and found out that only small pop-up tents for infants are allowed on the island.  Regular sized tents or cabanas and stakes are all prohibited.  But, I think you will find the umbrellas, lounge chairs, and beach chairs just perfect for your day on the island, and there are plenty to choose from on the Castaway Family Beach! The umbrellas are quite large providing plenty of shade and if you sit closer to the walkway, you will find the palm trees to give you some shade as well.
Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel, Ellen!  Best wishes for a wondrous sailing on the Disney Dream!
