    We are taking our 4 yr boy & girl on their first WDW vacation on 11/01. I was wanting to find out if the characters (especially) the princesses walk around the parks at all? I know you can dine with them, but wanted to know if you can see them elsewh

    The characters don't really walk around the parks, but there are plenty of non-meal ways to meet them. Many characters have specific greeting areas and times they will be in the parks. When you enter a park, be sure to grab a copy of the free Times Guide that will be located near the maps. This will give the times of the shows in the park, as well as the times and locations of character greetings. There will also be many "unadvertised" character greeting situations as well. For example, during much of the day you will find an assortment of characters greeting guests near the flagpole in the Magic Kingdom.

    There is a often a princess greeting zone in the Judge's Tent in Toontown in the Magic Kingdom, next to the Pixie Hollow Tinker Bell greeting area. (Check the Times Guide.) There are also often princesses in Epcot: Snow White in Germany, Mulan in China, Belle in France, etc.

    To make absolutely sure that you don't miss your favorite characters, I would go to the Guest Relations office at any of the theme parks; these are noted on the park maps. Ask them to call the "character hotline" for you. The character hotline will be able to tell you if any particular character will be in the parks on a particular day, and if so, where and when the character will be there.
