We are taking our 1 year old to WDW for her first visit and staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I'm apprehensive about staying at a hotel with her...she's only slept in her crib. It will be our first time staying here-what can we expect?

    Hi Marta,

Happy first trip to Walt Disney World with your daughter! Such a magical time to visit and enjoy this special place!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of my favorite places to stay. My oldest daughter loves the animals right outside of our room. They will have a pack and play crib available for your daughter to use and it will come with a sheet. Make sure to request one when completing the online check-in. However, I recommend bringing her favorite blanket to use in her crib for vacation.

You may have to do some childproofing in the room depending on your daughter's level of curiosity. You should also pack diapers and other necessities. Baby food, formula and milk can be found in the store but you may want to bring it with you, purchase from an online grocer or send it from home.

Remember to have a magical time with your daughter!
