Mom and Daughter at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort Room

    We're taking our 2 year old son for the first time to DW on Christmas. We'll be at the parks for a couple days. Any tips on best places to go with him? Which parks are the best suited for his age?

    Hi there Kelly!

    I know you must be super excited to be taking your two-year-old to the Walt Disney World Resort for the first time on Christmas! You are going to love having several days to explore the parks in order to take things at a relaxed pace especially since you are visiting at a popular time of the year. I would definitely recommend visiting Magic Kingdom Park. Because there is so much to see and do, you may want to consider spending two full days at the iconic park. I would recommend starting in Fantasyland and then touring the park by "lands" in order to maximize your time and decrease the amount of unnecessary walking. 

    I would also suggest visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom Park and possibly Disney's Hollywood Studios. At Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, don't miss Kilimanjaro Safaris, Festival of the Lion King, taking the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki's Planet Watch, and The Boneyard, a fun play area built around fun dinosaur fossils. My list of must do attractions at Disney's Hollywood Studios includes: Toy Story Midway Mania!, Disney Junior - Live on Stage!, The Great Movie Ride, and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure. You may also want to consider visiting Disney Springs for a roaring meal at T-REX  and a trip to The LEGO Store and World of Disney.
