I will be taking my 9 year old son who has Auitism, he is on a gluten free, lactose free diet and has a peanut allergy. Is it worth it for me purchase the dining plan? I'm not sure if we could find menu items that he could eat.

Hi Anely! The restaurants at Walt Disney World will work with you to make sure that your son will have meals that comply with his dietary restrictions, so don't let his food allergies stop you from purchasing the Disney Dining Plan. Disney has a department dedicated to assisting guests with special dietary requests. You can read more about dining at Disney with food allergies and restrictions by clicking here. Since your son has multiple allergies, you should contact the Special Diets department several weeks before your visit at SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com. They will send you information about the allergy-free foods available at the various Quick Service and Table Service restaurants. They'll also send you a form to complete about your dining reservations, and then they'll contact the chefs at the restaurants so they'll be ready to prepare a meal for your son that meets his dietary requirements. I think you'll find that Disney is one of the best vacation destinations for those with food allergies!

Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
