We are taking our 6 year old grandson to Disney World this August. He was diagnosed with celiac and cannot eat any gluten. What are the options for gluten free meals in each of the parks? Thank you.

Robert, my warmest welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're due an Amazing Grandparent Award for sharing the magic of Walt Disney World with your grandchild. Memories to last a lifetime await!

All Guests at Walt Disney World, including those with dietary restrictions, can safely enjoy dining experiences. Most table-service and select quick-service restaurants have allergy-friendly menu options listed online with Gluten/Wheat Allergy-Friendly menus. In the My Disney Experience App, you can view menus at all Walt Disney World dining spots, and you will find Gluten/Wheat Allergy-friendly items clearly listed. You can also filter your options by dietary preferences when placing a mobile order, helping you to easily find safe dishes, such as the allergy-friendly French Bistro Burger at Connections Eatery

You can add gluten-free dietary restrictions to advanced dining reservations in My Disney Experience too. Even when you have taken this precaution, once at a restaurant at Walt Disney World, I would advise speaking directly with a Cast Member to ensure everyone understands the preparation needed to suit your grandchild's dietary requirements.

One of my all-time favorite character dining experiences is Garden Grill Restaurant in EPCOT. They serve an allergy-friendly version of the Harvest Feast with charming character appearances. It's always a hit in our family, and you can have the comfort of knowing the feast at your table will be catered to your dietary needs. We always like to take a ride on Living with the Land beforehand, as we love seeing the source of our meal!

I hope you feel confident ordering in the knowledge that dietary needs are considered, but you can always contact the Special Diets department before your visit to ensure you're doing nothing but celebrating being together.

Your young grandchild may also be delighted to know that the ultimate Disney snack, the Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar, is gluten-free. Perfect excuse for lots of treats.

Ultimately, I know that the Cast Members at Walt Disney World want to ensure each Guest has a magical dining experience. I hope this information helps you, Robert, and that you all have a magical time together at the Most Magical Place on Earth, Louise.
