Taking our 9 year old granddaughter, first visit. We have reservations for Cinderella Castle, 1900 Park Fare, ( is that too much the same?) Hollywood and Vine and Teppan Edo and Garden Grill. Am I missing anything? Been awhile with a little one.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Stacey! Thank you for swinging by with your question about dining!

Sounds like you are part of my tribe! My extended family and I have always thought character dining experiences are the best way to give the grandchildren a chance to meet the characters without the rush that regular meet-n-greets sometimes bring. My kids and their cousins have grown up eating while meeting the characters at Walt Disney World and we LOVE it!

I think the reservations you've been able to get are wonderful! Does she like sushi rolls and Japanese food and other Japanese delicacies? If so Teppan Edo is the place. I can't help but notice that character dining is a strong component of your dining plans. In such a case, let me recommend a few experiences for you to add to your already fabulous looking list!

*Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot World Showcase, where they'll find Belle, Snow White, Cinderella, amongst other princesses

*'Ohana in Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, where she'll find Lilo, Stitch, and Mickey Mouse in their luau attire

*Tusker House in Disney's Animal Kingdom, where she'll meet Donald Duck and friends in their safari gear

*Trattoria al Forno in Disney's BoardWalk Inn, where she'll meet Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Prince Eric, and Ariel

*Chef Mickey's in the iconic Disney's Contemporary Resort, where she'll meet Mickey Mouse and pals

*Cape May Café in Disney's Beach Club Resort, where she will meet Minnie and friends in their beach attire.

Regarding your question about Cinderella appearing in both experiences at 1900 Park Fare in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and at Cinderella's Royal Table, I must say that they are very different. One is in Cinderella Castle, where she will be surrounded by her fellow princesses and members of the Royal Court whereas, at 1900 Park Fare in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, she will be accompanied by Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, and the Step Sisters. This is the only location where your granddaughter will see Cinderella waltz with Prince Charming.

Remember that in all cases character appearances and entertainment are subject to change without prior notice.

Stacey, let me suggest you purchase Memory Maker in advance so that you can get all of the great moments that await captured in photo and video.

I hope I have given you somewhat useful information and please do not hesitate to come back soon!

Meet the Panelist: Desiree, Peru

Hi! I'm Desiree from Lima, Peru. My family will never ever tire of visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth, even if means traveling almost 3,000 miles to do so! My husband and I love to watch the fireworks with our kids, but the best magic happens when the grandparents come along and we all feel the same age in front of Cinderella Castle! I love giving tips about different types of resorts and traveling with multigenerational groups.
