Hello we are taking our 1 year old to Disney world for his first birthday. Does magic kingdom offer paid seating for the parades?

Happy birthday to your little prince, Bianca, and thanks for stopping by planDisney! Since your visit might be coming soon, let's discuss some options for celebrating his big day in style at Walt Disney World Resort.

The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom Park is one of my favorite events. It features many classic characters as well as newer Disney friends. Currently, there isn't a dining package or Lightning Lane offered for this parade, so most guests claim a spot along the parade route an hour or so early. My husband and I like to mobile order Frozen Mint Julep Lemonade from Casey's Corner and find a shady nook until the parade begins.

This tip requires some luck and timing, but we've also watched the parade while eating a late lunch on the porch at Tony's Town Square Restaurant. Check the parade time and book a meal to coincide with the parade viewing. It usually takes about 20 minutes for the parade to reach the Town Square area, and be sure to ask for an outdoor table or one by the windows when you check in. The Spaghetti and Impossible Meatballs is *chef's kiss*!

Happily Ever After offers guaranteed seating if you book the Seats & Sweets Fireworks Dessert Party. My friends and I had a fabulous time sampling drinks and desserts while we watched the nighttime spectacular. Our table was under cover which came in handy during a pop-up shower!

Bianca, I'm waving my magic wand so your upcoming visit is practically perfect. Remember to pick up a complimentary birthday button for your big boy! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
