I am taking my 13 year old daughter and 10 year old son to disney for there first trip. My husband and i have been working on this for 2 years. I am on dyalisis for kidney failure. We booked our trip for aug 20 till aug 29 how are the crowds looking.

    Hi Theresa -

It sounds like you have a very special vacation planned. I hope that it's every bit as special as you want it to be.

I've just checked the Crowd Calendar for you on the independent website TouringPlans.com. The dates you've chosen are all in the 2, 3, and 4 level on a scale of 1-10. Which means that the crowds will be slightly below average to well below average for your entire trip. Yay! I've actually chosen the same time period to travel with my family because it is one of the lowest crowd level opportunities during a time when my kids are not in school.

The only issue you might encounter is weather related. While the crowds are low during late August, the weather will be hot, hot, hot. Be sure to stay hydrated and take lots of breaks. Plan to spend the mid afternoon resting by the resort pool or at indoor, air-conditioned attractions. There is a first aid office at each of the theme parks if you need any referrals to medical attention.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
