Ahoy, Shawna!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! What a fantastic vacation you have to look forward to next summer. I know you're already dreaming of your
European adventure that is now less than a yEAR away. I love booking my Disney Cruise Line vacations early, so I can research and plan every magical detail (especially when it involves incredible destinations like the ones you'll visit on the
Disney Magic). If you haven't already, go ahead and download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to watch it count down to your sailing. The app was recently enhanced, so it will allow you to make plans from home, including you Online Check-In. Once onboard, it will be your go-to guide for all the
ship's activities, deck plans, menu offerings, chat feature, and much more! And you'll be happy to know, it's free and can be used while your mobile device is in airplane mode on the ship's Wi-Fi network.
Speaking of Wi-Fi, Disney Cruise Line does offer packages through their
Connect@Sea program. These packages can be purchased once onboard and shared with other Guests in your stateroom. There is also a way to "pay as you go," but if you plan to use the internet frequently, you'll find the packages to be a better deal. I do recommend reading over the information that will be left in your stateroom or stopping by to speak with the Connect@Sea representative (Deck 4 inside the Promenade Lounge). There are some great tips on the information sheet on what to turn off while using the package to help conserve your data usage.
Shawna, you'll also be happy to know power converters will not be necessary on the Disney Magic. There will be plenty of plugs and USB ports in your stateroom for you to use.
Thank you for cruising by with your question! Please keep us posted as you continue to plan for your pixie-dusted journey with Disney Cruise Line.
