Welcome back, Nicole! My family and I have sailed the Western Caribbean with Disney a few times and simply love the ports of call and exciting Port Adventures offered there! You're in for a real treat!
Onboard the ship, you'll only need your Key To The World Card to charge any extras to your stateroom account. But, in the ports of call, bring a
credit card and some cash. In my experience, usually U.S. Dollars are happily accepted in those particular ports, as are major credit cards. Most spots will take credit cards, but for some smaller vendors, and for tips, you'll need some cash with you.
Disney Cruise Line's Port Adventures are the best because they really do take care of everything for you. Simply show up to your assigned meeting spot onboard the ship, at the time noted, and you'll sign in and meet your guide and the rest of your group there, then you'll all walk off the ship together to begin the adventure. When you meet onboard, there will be towels at the check in meeting areas for any adventures that include water, so you can simply grab some for your family as you check in at the table. Toss them in your day bag and you're ready to head to shore! No need to bring your own towels from home!
That goes for the
pools onboard too. You'll find plenty of pool towels in wooden cabinets near each pool up on deck, so grab a few when you're ready to swim and you're all set!
Have such an amazing cruise, Nicole!
