I am taking my two year old son to disney for the first time in November 2014 I heard a very mickey Christmas goes on at that time, any suggestions on what are a must to do with him at that time?

    Hi Melissa,

First trips are so magical! My children were two and four when we first took them to the Walt Disney World Resorts.

If I had to redo my first trip with the girls, I would have done less. We did not spend enough time just discovering the little extras that happen when you spend the time letting the magic happen.

I would start with spending just one day at each park and not park hop. This allows you to enjoy the little shows on the streets of Hollywood in Disney's Hollywood Studios, the countries of World Showcase or ride a favorite attractions more than once. With the resorts and parks preparing for the holidays, enjoy the decorations.

I would definitely enjoy Epcot on the first day and tour the Living Seas, Journey to Imagination as well as the countries. Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland is great for everyone in your family. Disney's Hollywood Studios Disney Junior! Live on Stage is a fun interactive show for toddlers. Finally, Disney's Animal Kingdom takes animals to a whole new level.

I would also skip Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. While there is a different parade and some other added features, I think it is more suited for an older child.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
