We are taking our two princesses (7 & 3) in early June. We want to do one of the dessert experiences (Wishes or IlumniNation) & trying to figure out which one. I am sure they're both amazing, Epcot last night and MK the night earlier.

    Hi Brian,

How exciting that you'll be taking your two princesses to Walt Disney World next summer!  I'm predicting a whole lot of pixie dust during your visit!

You're absolutely right, whether you choose the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom or the IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party at Epcot, you'll have a spectacular time.  Either way, you'll get one of the best views of the fireworks in the park, along with your fill of delicious desserts and drinks to enjoy during the show.

If I were choosing between the two for my own family, I'd give the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party my vote.  The main reason for this is that you'll have a table where you can all sit and relax during the show.  This makes is so much easier with kids, especially at the end of a full day in the parks.  The IllumiNations Sparking Dessert Party has tall cocktail tables where you can stand, but there is really nowhere to sit, other than the pavement.  I also think the dessert offerings at Magic Kingdom are a bit more to kids' tastes.

I don't know if you've considered it, but another option that would be even more magical would be Ferrytale Wishes: A Fireworks Dessert Cruise.  While it's a bit more pricey, you can't beat the experience of seeing Wishes from the middle of Seven Seas Lagoon, and the desserts sound absolutely amazing.

No matter which you choose, I'd recommend making your reservations soon!  All are very popular and fill up quickly.

Wishing your family happy planning and a magical vacation, Brian!
