Taking 5.5yo twins for first time in Oct. Have res at Princess Tea Party and BBB. Will they be out of place in non-princess fancy dresses at Tea Party? Have princess dresses could wear but was saving for BBB & lunch at Castle instead.

We just returned from Disney last week and we stayed part of the time at the Grand Floridian, where the Perfectly Princess Tea is held. It's very cute!

I would not say that your daughters would be out of place wearing party dresses.  There were definitely other girls there that week who did.  I will say, though, that they were in the minority, and that most of the children were indeed wearing their princess costumes.  (Sleeping Beauty being the most popular, of course.)

I think it depends on your own girls, and how they would feel.  My daughters aren't self-conscious so they wouldn't be troubled in that regard. however, I do think they would look around the room and wish that they were wearing their dress-up clothes like the other girls.  For that reason I would probably bring or buy a second princess outfit for them to wear.  I know it's an added expense, but I tend to splurge on Disney.

If I were making the choice between the two, I might even opt for the princess costume at the tea party and the party dress for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique instead.  In our experience there are more girls out of costume at the BBB than there are at the tea party.
