Ahoy, Mary!
What an incredible vacation you have planned for next September! I know it may seem like it will be a while before you're embarking on this Transatlantic adventure, but I think you'll be surprised at how quickly the months will fly by. Are you counting down using the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app yet? Once my cruise is booked, the first thing I do is put my sail date into this app so I can check it often to see how many days to go! The app is free to download for Apple and Android devices and can be used onboard to navigate the ship, plan out activities, check dinner menus and text others while onboard using the ship's Wi-Fi! It's wonderful to have at your fingertips!
Mary, you've asked an excellent question about what type of weather to expect for your journey aboard the Disney Magic. I think layering will be the key as highs are going to be in the upper 50s to 60s in the ports of call. You may experience some low 70s, so you'll want to have some lightweight options as well. Since you'll be experiencing similar temperatures on the sea days, the layering will come in handy for brisk mornings and evenings on deck. I'd check the weather forecasts for your ports of call a few days prior to your departure since weather can be very unpredictable especially since this is early September. The pools will be heated when the outside temperature drops below 75 so include bathing suits on your packing list.
The Disney Magic does offer several laundry facilities onboard for your convenience. You may want to take advantage of this since you'll be on a longer sailing and have several sea days in a row. You can use your Key to the World card to pay for the machines, detergent and dryer sheets. It's
super easy!
Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Mary! Please let us know if we can assist you further with your cruise plans.
