We are taking our three and six year old children to Disney in late August. We are debating renting a double stroller or two single strollers from an outside vendor. Are double strollers harder to manage in the parks and on Disney buses than two singles?

Hi there Melissa! How exciting you are visiting Walt Disney World in August!  This is a great question! As a mom of four children which includes a set of twins, I have tons of experience in trying to find the perfect stroller for our trips to the "Happiest Place on Earth!"  One of the biggest problems we encountered when using the double stroller was when the children fell asleep at different times. That may not be a concern given the ages of your children. In regards to traveling on the Disney buses, if you have lightweight single strollers that can collapse all the way, then I would recommend two single strollers for your vacation. If the single strollers do not collapse well, then I would recommend a double stroller. There are times in the parks when you may find areas of congestion that a double stroller is harder to navigate through. When leaving the parks after a parade or fireworks, I found the double stroller more difficult to maneuver. We also found the double stroller to be very tricky to maneuver when trying to stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. using the sidewalk during the afternoon parade at Magic Kingdom Park. For me, the main benefit of using a double stroller was being able to give each other a break from pushing. I hope this information helps in making your decision. Please don't hesitate to write me back with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a magical trip, Melissa!
