Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tulsi!
Get ready! You have quite the high seas adventure on the horizon. I am so excited for you to enjoy time together with your sons on the Disney Dream!
My family LOVES the extra pixie dust that comes with cruising in a
concierge class stateroom. One of my favorite benefits is the pre-arrival services. Approximately 125 days before you sail, the shoreside concierge team will reach out to help you with booking your onboard reservations and
Port Adventures. They will also take any special requests you may have at this time. With their help, you will be ready when your
advance booking window opens at 120 days prior to your sail date.
When my family sends our request to the shoreside concierge team, we usually ask them to include our favorite beverages in our stateroom refrigerator, the Port Adventures we would like to book, reservations for the ticketed character experiences like the Frozen Meet and Greet and Princess Gathering, as well as appointments for the Pirates League at the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. When our cruise includes a stop at Disney's private island, like your cruise does, we also request a
private cabana at
Castaway Cay!
Another reason we enjoy concierge level cruising is access to the lounge and concierge team! From the moment you check-in at the cruise terminal at the dedicated concierge desk, you will have a team of wonderful hosts onboard to ensure smooth sailing as you cruise. The team will escort you to the concierge lounge where they will review your plans and can also help you set up and purchase an
onboard internet package. The lounge is a quiet, slice of heaven for you during your cruise. Visit it often to enjoy private happy hours as well as beverages and food throughout the day. Don't forget to ask your concierge hosts for popcorn before you leave for each evening's show!
Since your sailing is leaving from and returning to the same U.S. port, instead of an original, valid U.S. Passport, U.S. citizens can sail with an original or copy of your state-issued birth certificate and a government-issued photo ID according to the
travel documentation guidelines. If you have passports, I would recommend you bring them as I like the peace of mind knowing I have this important documentation in the event of an emergency.
I hope I have steered you in the right direction, Tulsi! Enjoy every moment of your V.I.P. accommodations. Be careful, my family learned the hard way cruising concierge can be addicting!
If you have additional questions before you set sail with Captain Mickey, please cruise back to us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel for help.
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
