Hello I will be taking my son for his first Disney trip in august the day we are going is the actual day of his 3rd birthday I wanted to know so I need to purchase a ticket for him? Or does he fall in under the free admisssion thank you

    Hi Julia!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I absolutely adore seeing little ones running around on their first trip and I'm so excited for you to experience that with your son at Walt Disney World!

Mickey Mouse looks at little ones birthdays based on the day of check in. So if you check in the day before and go to the park on your second day there, which is his actual birthday since he was two upon arrival and check in, he would not need a theme park ticket for admission. If you check in on his actual birthday, while that would be so much fun, unfortunately he would need a ticket for admission.

I hope you little one has a magical birthday! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
