We're taking our son to Disney World for his first time in a month. All of the character meals are booked. Is there a chance of getting a same day reservation or getting a cancelation?

    Hi Noel,

Yahoo, we love first time Disney families! How exciting! The character meals at Disney World are a great way to interact and see the Disney characters while relaxing and enjoying a delicious meal. This is part of the reason whey they are so popular and why you have found them all booked for your upcoming trip.

Yes, it is always a possibility that something will open up. While the restaraunts do not hold tables for same day reservations, I know myself that we have cancelled character dining reservations as our plans have changed unexpectantly. I know we have also been lucky enough to stumble upon a few of those cancelations when we were looking for reservations. The best thing to do is keep checking. Continue to call 407-WDW-DINE 407-939-3463 to check for openings. Once on property, you can also stop at any resort concierge desk, park guest relations counter or any Disney restaraunt and they can check for any openings that may have come up. If you are willing to eat at an unusual time, like a late lunch or late dinner, or if you have a larger party and are willing to split into two tables, you may find it easier to obtain a table.

Good luck and hope you have an amazing time!
