Taking my son to Disney for his 2nd bday & wanted to know if there's anything special the parks do for kids. Also, is it ok if it's a couple of days before his actual bday or do they need proof?

Hi, Jennifer! Happy birthday to your son! There is no better place on earth to celebrate a birthday than Walt Disney World! Be sure to get him a birthday button.  They are free at Guest Relations at any Walt Disney World Theme Park. You will enjoy Cast Members and other Guests wishing him "Happy birthday!" Be sure to note on all of your Resort or Advance Dining Reservations that it's his birthday and tell the Cast Member checking you in, too. With his birthday button and noting his birthday on reservations, he may be sprinkled with "pixie dust" by Cast Members (random acts of kindness - like free cupcake, etc...).  While "pixie-dusted" moments aren't guaranteed, they happen quite often.  You are not required to have proof of his birthday, and you should celebrate the entire trip, not just one day, so it doesn't matter that it isn't the actual day.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
