Taking my son to Disney for his 7th bday 10/28-11/2 (6 days). Which park/s should we see on our arriving/departing days (not sure which are the "small" parks)? Maybe see the same park both half-days to see it all? Any MUST SEE/DO/EAT things he'd

    Hi Ashlee!

Congrats on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World! Your son is going to have the best birthday every!

I suggest visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios and/or Animal Kingdom on the half days because you can tour those parks more quickly than Magic Kingdom or Epcot.

While Animal Kingdom is actually the largest Walt Disney World park, but it closes earlier than the rest of the parks and you can tour the key attractions in half a day. This is a great park for your departure day.

Disney's Hollywood Studios is a great park for your arrival day because you can experience many of the attractions in just half a day. The must see attractions are: Toy Story Mania, Rock n Roller Coaster and Star Tours. If your little guy likes Toy Story, make sure to eat at Pizza Planet. Hollywood Brown Derby is a signature restaraunt at Hollywood Studios and it is delicious. The cobb salad and grapefruit cake are delish!

Other "Must Do" suggestions: When you arrive, make sure to ask Guest Services for a "Happy Birthday" button for your son (it's free) and he will enjoy being greeted with "Happy Birthday" all day! Also make sure to note on any Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) that it is his birthday. He may even get a cupcake, complete with candles, to celebrate the special occasion!

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
