    Taking my son for his 5th birthday to Disney. What is the best option for character breakfast and dinner? Dinner shows? And fireworks display/parade? We are going second week in November.

    Tiffany,

    I think that there are a lot of choices. Some of my favorites for you would be the following;

    Character Meals
    Chef Mickey's (Contemporary Resort - breakfast or dinner)
    Donald's Safari Breakfast/Tusker House (Animal Kingdom - breakfast)

    Dinner Show
    Hoop Dee Doo Review (Fort Wilderness - dinner)

    I Think these are really the cream of the crop, for a boy who probably is not that interested in meeting princesses. With the first two you have a buffet environment that allows you to pick for him what he wants, as well as offering him some variety. The Hoop Dee Doo Review offers less variety, but a great show that will delight him, and you as well.

    If your son is particularly a fan of the Disney Junior channel, you might also consider the Hollywood & Vine character breakfast at the Hollywood Studios.

    I think that the fireworks are great, and I would try to get him to see both IllumiNations (Epcot) and Wishes (Magic Kingdom). If your timing works out, the Fantasmic show (Hollywood Studios) is good too, but you have to wait in line for a decent seat for at least 30 minutes, so that could be a deal breaker.

    With parades, I think that you stick to the Magic Kingdom, and I would take in one afternoon parade, and one evening one. Both are amazing in their own ways, and have their own unique appeal.

    Write me back if you have any follow up questions. With 5 and 7 year old daughters in my house, I know a lot of what your child may like!

    Have a magical (and delicious) vacation!
