We are taking a shuttle to the cruise terminal and we are due to arrive at 11:15, but our check in time is not until 12:30, are we going to have to wait outside until our scheduled check in times or may we enter the terminal early?

Welcome back, Chrissy! Disney Cruise Line assigns arrival times so that not all guests arrive at the port terminal at the same time. This really cuts down on crowds and helps everyone's vacation get off to a great start.

If you arrive at 11:15, but your check-in time is not until 12:30, don't worry! You are more than welcome to arrive early, check in at the terminal and get your boarding number. They will not turn you away if you are early. In fact, you might get a lower boarding number which means you might get on the ship earlier. I love to get on the ship as early as possible so I can take advantage of the down time before the rest of the guests arrive.

You will have some time to wait once you're all checked in at the terminal. There are plenty of seats, many televisions playing Disney cartoons, and Mickey and Minnie like to make appearances to greet guests throughout the morning and early afternoon as well. Do pack some snacks for the kids, because there is not food available for purchase in the terminal, and we all know that little ones don't like to wait too long. Honestly, who does like to wait when they see that gorgeous Disney ship outside the terminal? Everyone will be anxious to get onboard.

Once your number is called, make your way onto the ship, where you'll receive a red carpet welcome as the Cast Members announce your family name and applaud as you walk into the ship's atrium lobby. Then, relax and enjoy your magical days at sea, Chrissy! Have fun!
