Welcome to planDisney Diane,
Thanks for sailing by with your
Disney Cruise Line question! I was just reviewing your 11-day itinerary aboard the
Disney Dream and it sounds truly amazing! You must be so excited about this amazing holiday.
From the Port of Southampton, you will want to book your return flight from one of the London airports, either London Heathrow International Airport or London Gatwick International Airport.
Disney Cruise Line advises that your flight departure time should be no earlier than 2:15 p.m. local time. I did a little checking, and the London airports are about two hours travel time, depending on traffic. I’ve been to London, and traffic is certainly a factor, so plan to give yourself some extra time. You might even consider spending some time in London and leaving the following day or two.
Diane, did you know that you can
book your airfare and/or
ground transfers with Disney Cruise Line? If you would like to discuss these options, you can speak to a Disney travel representative by calling (800) 951-3532. Currently, ground transfers from the
Port of Southampton to either London airport are $75 per Guest (prices are subject to change). I recommend purchasing the ground transfers in advance, as only a limited number may be available for purchase upon arrival. Please be prepared to provide your outbound flight details. Private transportation options are also available, but you will need to book those on your own. Similar options are available at the start of your cruise in
Copenhagen as well.
You are going to love the Disney Dream! If you need any tips or advice on how to make the most of your time aboard this amazing ship, please write back and let us know. I hope this information has been helpful to you!
Wishing you a magical voyage,
Shannon
