Taking my nieces to Disney. Can they get their magic bands linked to their parents credit card, if their parents aren’t there too?

    Hi Tammy!

Thanks for visiting us at planDisney! What a special trip you’re about to take. I bet your nieces are so excited!

I just chatted with a friendly Cast Member to get an answer for you. He let me know that their parents will need to be present to provide the credit card information if they want that linked to their MagicBands.

If this is a “no parents allowed!” type of trip (my boys would just love rubbing that in!), my best advice would be for their parents to send them with a Disney gift card. Those can be used almost anywhere in Disney World. You can even consolidate several Disney gift cards into one online. That way they won’t have to carry around a bunch of cards.

As your countdown starts coming to an end, remember that you’ll be able to purchase your Lightning Lanes ahead of time. And you can even use those Disney gift cards to do that, as well!

If you’ll be staying at a Disney resort, you can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Single Pass, or Premier Pass 7 days prior to your check-in date. If you’ll be staying off property, you can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass 3 days in advance of your first park day.

Enjoy your status of “coolest Aunt ever!” Hope you have a great girls’ trip!
