Hi, we are taking our 19 month for the first time, we are spending NYE, I would like a suggestion which park should we chose? Is magic kingdom better for Him to spend NYE? Thank you!

    Hi Cecilia,

Happy New Years to you and your family! I hope you have a great time ringing in the new year at the Walt Disney World Resorts.

My family spent New Year's Eve in Magic Kingdom. The main reason I picked this park was because there was no alcohol in the park and I thought this would make for a smoother evening. While they only serve alcohol in Be Our Guest, I still think this is a great choice for families especially with little ones.

You will need to be in the park fairly early or the park may fill to capacity and you will not be allowed to enter. If you are there around 3:00 pm, you should be fine. You also will want to make an Advance Dining Reservation in the Magic Kingdom as the park will be busy for dinner.

If you want to see the festivities from Main Street, you will need to have a seat by around 9:30-10:00 pm. We opted to watch the fireworks from Frontierland and it was not crowded and it was fine. Plus it allowed us to hop on some of our favorite rides while others where waiting on Main Street.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
