Hi! Taking mom and dad on their first EVER cruise to the Bahamas this March. They are in their 60's and need to be mindful of sun due to medication. We want them to have fun, but not sure what to suggest for excursions--especially for Castaway Cay. T

    Ahoy Tammy!
I'm so excited to hear you are sharing the magic of Disney Cruise Line with your parents! My parents and in-laws have both cruised with our family so I can understand wanting to make sure your entire crew has a fun-filled experience with Captain Mickey!
On Castaway Cay, I think you will find plenty of shade for them to relax under the tropical palm trees and large umbrellas. If they are active, I definitely suggest a family bike ride because of the filtered sun along the flat terrain. It is only about a mile and a half long so it's a leisurely journey with spectacular views of Disney Cruise Line's private oasis! Another option is the Glass Bottom Boat Scenic Voyage. It's only about an hour long and will give them a look at some of the gorgeous marine life without having to worry about getting too much sun.
In Nassau, I would consider the Nassau Fort and Junkanoo Discovery or the Graycliff Chocolatier-The Art of Chocolate Making and Factory Tour. Both of these are great for families!
I hope my suggestions will help in your planning, Tammy! Please stop back by with any other questions you may have before your March voyage!
    Have a magical day,
    Nancy
