We will be taking our little Mouseketeers to Disney for the first time next April/May to watch their big sister march in her band's performance. Which park(s) would you recommend for a 4 and 2 year old? Value resort or Moderate resort, for comfort?

Hi James!   I am so happy you have stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your vacation planning question today.   I myself have two small mouseketeers who are 3 and 4 years-old, so I  can give you some great information about what they really enjoy at Walt Disney World.

My little ones favorite theme park is the Magic Kingdom.  Whether they are soaring through New Fantasyland on Dumbo the Flying Elephant, or taking a cruise through jungle rivers they always have a big smile on their faces.   Another family favorite is Disney's Animal Kingdom.   Family adventures through the Harambe Wildlife Reserve on Kilimanjaro Safari is a must-do each trip,  we often experience this attraction multiple times because my kids really enjoy being up close and personal with all the exotic animals.  You can also find lot's of character meet and greets, and a my personal favorite Disney Dining location the Tusker House Restaurant.

As for a resort, if you are looking for comfort and space I would choose a moderate-level guest room.  I highly recommend Disney's Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter.   This is the smallest moderate level resort, and every room is just a short walk to transportation and dining options.   My little ones also really enjoy the Mardi Gras themed pool, complete with a sea serpent waterslide.  Guest rooms as this moderate resort also include queen size beds, which are great when you have to share with rowdy little sleepers.

James, I encourage you to check out the Preschool Parent's Guide to Walt Disney World.  It offers great tips, and special offers for families traveling with the littlest of guests.

    Have a Disney Day,
