Taking kids to water parks for first time. I have flat feet, and it is painful to walk barefoot. Can I hold my water shoes on my chest going down slides, or will I have to leave them at the entrance? I hear pavement is hot and kids need flip flops.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Laura! My family loves the DIsney Water Parks and have visited both Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon on numerous occasions!  I completely understand your concern about not wanting to walk barefoot around the park. Rest assured, you will be allowed to hold your water shoes on your chest when going down the slides. You will not have to leave your shoes at the entrance. In fact, I always wear flip flops around the park and have always been allowed to hold them on the slides. I personally prefer to have my flip flops on when walking around the park and going into the restroom so I never remove them except when going into the pools. I hope this information eases your mind. Please don't hesitate to write me back regarding the Disney Water Parks or your Walt DIsney World vacation. Best wishes for a splish splashing good time, Laura!
